Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, if you have an NDIS approved plan, and you have a goal in your plan, that nutrition can help you to achieve.
The nutrition goal(s) and strategies will need to enable you to:
do activities to benefit your social and economic participation
Help you manage your disability and improve quality of life and independence
-
Nutrition supports must be recognised as a disability related health support, and deemed ‘reasonable and necessary’ by the NDIS. In order to fulfil this criteria, the NDIS must recognise that the services provided:
are value for money
are effective
are beneficial to you
are related to your disability
Your NDIS plan will also need to be either Self-managed or Plan managed. We are unable to support participants with agency managed plans.
For more specific information of plan management options go to the NDIS website, reach out to your plan manager or primary NDIS contact directly.

Identifying and supporting nutrition gaps and feeding challenges relating to your disability
All of our supports must be in alignment with your specific plan goals. Confirm eligibility with your plan manager or NDIS contact.
